my sister graduated from college the weekend before last and lily barrie and i flew in to witness the momentous event. [bradford had to work]
our plane left at 5:45AM - yowza. lily barrie did not seem to mind.
and a saturday morning graduation.
brittany was glowing - as she had every reason to be. the ceremony was lovely. it made me want to graduate again.
i should start crashing graduations like people crash weddings. i find them to be inspirational.
lily barrie played in the grass. sorry brittany, her attention span for ceremonial things is not very long at this point.
after graduation, we went to lunch where we consumed a yummy delicious chocolate cake in honor of the britster. and, we visited brittany's new apartment, which was lovely. [i remember my first apartment like it was yesterday. crazy how time flies.] i could really get sentimental and emotional and philosophical on you right now with talk of fresh starts and new days and futures being so bright you got to wear shades and all that, but i wont.
brittany, we are so proud of your accomplishment! thanks for sharing your special weekend with us.
we flew back home on monday and just barely beat mom and mike - who left on sunday to drive to our house for a week long visit.
[now you can see why i haven't posted in a while, been busy]
we played tourist for a week, which was fun. i so enjoyed having mom and mike (and george!) visit. i think they enjoyed it as well.
[no pictures at all from their visit - can you believe it?!]
this week, we have been regrouping and readying ourselves for memorial day weekend. bradford will have some time off (much needed and deserved), and we will be traveling to cumberland, maryland, for DelFest (DEL YEAY!) in just a few days time.
